Those of us in touch with buyers and sellers on a daily basis get a visceral sense when things are about to change.  In the past week, I have noticed that internet traffic on the Board’s public advertising site is up significantly.  Phone calls and showing requests are up.  I had a very busy Open House on the weekend - much busier than in previous months.  In discussion with colleagues, I am hearing that several properties in the $300,000 range and $500,000 range have offers on them.  One of my colleagues just had 3 competing offers on her listing in the Main Street corridor.  Other Realtors® are saying "things are getting busier".  Did you know that there are only 10 detached homes for sale under $850,000 west of Granville Street?  Sometimes we see blips in the market, so it is difficult to tell if this is one of those blips.  On the other hand, the market has been stagnant for at least 5 months, and we could be seeing some pent-up demand culminate into more sales.  Stay tuned.
