This morning, I attended the Annual Meeting with members of the Westside Division, and the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver.  The meeting was well attended by perhaps 200 or so Realtors®.  Events like this are a good chance for us to network and share our opinions on the market.  Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a fly on the wall in a room full of Realtors®?  The comments echoed go something like this:  "The people who are buying right now are getting some fantastic deals!"  "People don't realize that this is such a great time to buy!"  These comments are coming from industry insiders, amongst ourselves, not the media, not hype to potential buyers.  Just recently, we are starting to see some properties that have been on the market a long time are selling.  The new listings this week are dramatically down so far, and we will see a tightening of inventory in the short term for sure.  There is still a great selection out there today, and this could be your best window of opportunity to buy the home you want!
