Meet Diane Birk

Diane Birk started her Real Estate career in 1992, marketing brand new Luxury Condominiums, and in 1994 she entered the re-sale residential market with Royal LePage. Her client list spans First-Time Buyers, to Last-Time Sellers, Corporate transferees, and Executive Relocations. She has helped people move in happy times, and through devastating life events. Diane has been through a sliding market, the leaky condo crisis, a booming market, and a downright market frenzy. She has experienced and embraced the changes that technology have made in our industry. Most people find that Diane is a good listener, empathic, and naturally intuitive; she is down to earth, genuine, and most people feel quickly at ease working with her. Although recognized as a consistent top producer with Royal LePage, Diane’s focus has always been to earn repeat and referred business by helping people get what they need. Diane is an ardent believer that "what goes around, comes around". This belief is the foundation for both her personal and business life.

A bit about the way I work....

Approximately 80% of my business is through repeat and referred clients, and referrals from other Real Estate Agents across Canada. I take a direct, hands-on approach to working with people, and do not employ the "team concept". I feel that you deserve to work with the Real Estate Agent that you hired, and I like to be directly involved with you. I strive to maintain a balanced life, and when I take a break to rejuventate, I have a top agent in my office fill my shoes, in a reciprocal arrangement.

I believe in giving back.....

I have served on volunteer committees with the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, and with Royal LePage. I currently serve on the Royal LePage Headstart Committee, which is a bi-annual, Western based conference, put on by Realtors, for Realtors. I am serving a fourth term as Council Member (and newly elected President) in my Strata Corporation, and I get involved with the civic issues that face our ever-changing community. With each property sold, I make a donation to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, the largest public foundation in Canada dedicated exclusively to ending violence against women and children.

On a Personal Note.....

Vancouver has been my home since 1987, and I currently reside in the beautiful seaside neighborhood of False Creek South. I grew up on a farm outside of Edmonton, Alberta, a lifestyle full of never-ending responsibilities, chores and just plain hard work, which has shaped my work ethic and the person I am today. I love to stay active, and appreciate the simple things in life, like family and true friends, good health, and piece of mind. I love to laugh and prefer memorable experiences over material "things". Being a Libra, I crave balance and simple beauty in life. I love to read anything that stretches my imagination enough to allow me to find truth in it. I am completely drawn to the lively arts and culture of Latin America, and made a solo trip to Peru and Bolivia in 1999, which was a life-changing adventure. Do we have something in common?
